Introduction
Suncor Energy has launched a call for tenders to carry out daily maintenance work, planned shutdowns and various projects on the production and storage equipment for petroleum products at the Suncor Energy Montreal refinery.
Last November, GASTIER won the contract ahead of the only contractor at the client.
Challenges
This is a contract based on an hourly rate for the supply of the services of executive staff, specialized labor, equipment, materials, as well as the management of subcontractors relating to maintenance work according to the terms of the agreement.
The call for tenders includes three of the client's sites:
- Refinery, Sherbrooke Street East
- Sulphur factory, Marien Street
- Terminal, 3rd Avenue
Solution
Between 150 and 500 employees will be mobilized over the next 5 years on the site, carrying out daily maintenance work, planned shutdowns and various projects on production and storage equipment for petroleum products.
The services to be provided will be multiple:
- estimation of mechanical and electrical work,
- planning and quality control,
- supervision of skilled trades and others: Boilermakers, Pipefitters / Pipe welders; Millwrights;
Electricians & Instrumentalists; Insulators; Editors–Assemblers; Heavy equipment operators; Refrigeration technicians; Day laborer’s & clerks; Prevention agents Health & Safety & Environment; and Quality Control Inspectors.
Results
The recovered scopes will make it possible to leave the annual volume of activity a little more dependent on shut downs.
